Şehitlik Gezisi

Üniversitemiz Sağlık Kültür ve Spor Daire Başkanlığı'na bağlı olarak faaliyet gösteren Uluslararası Öğrenci Değişimi Topluluğu olarak 10 Kasım 2019 tarihinde Dumlupınar ilçesinde bulunan Dumlupınar Şehitliği, Mehmetçik Anıtı, Dumlupınar Müzesi, Atatürk evi ve Çavdarhisar ilçesinde bulunan Aizonai Antik Kent'i gezdik. Sabah saatlerinde Dumlupınar Müzesi'ne giriş yaptık. Müze'de bulunan, 30 Ağustos Zaferimizi kabartmalı harita üzerinden göstererek anlatan rehberi dinledik ve Erasmus Programı kapsamında gelen öğrencilere İngilizce diline eş zamanlı çevirerek aktardık. Burada kısa bir bilgilendirici film izlememizin ardından, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ve silah arkadaşlarının muharebeye dair fotoğrafları bulunan, Müze'nin hemen yanındaki Atatürk evini ziyaret ettik. Dumlupınar Gezimiz süresince bize eşlik eden rehberden, Dumlupınar Şehitliği'nde yatan askerlerimizin muharebe anlarında verdikleri zorlu mücadeleyi dinledik. Şehitliğin hemen yanındaki çay bahçesinde yemeklerimizi yedikten sonra Çavdarhisar için yola çıktık. Çavdarhisar'da Aizonai Antik Kent'te öncelikli durağımız Zeus Tapınağı idi. Orada bulunan rehber Aizanoi Zeus Tapınağının en büyük özelliğinin, Anadolu’da günümüze en iyi durumda ulaşan Roma İmparatorluk Çağı tapınaklarından olduğunu söyledi. Sonrasında Tapınağa yürüme mesafesinde bulunan Stadyum ve Tiyatro Kompleksini ve Dünya'da İlk Borsanın yapıldığı Aizonai Macellum'u ziyaret ettik. Kentin tarihi hakkında ilginç bilgiler edindik. Yabancı öğrenciler gezi boyunca fotoğraflar çekip sık sık gezdiğimiz yerler hakkında sorular sordular.

On November 10, 2019, As the International Student Exchange Club, which operates under the Department of Health, Culture and Sports of the university, we made a trip to Dumlupınar War Cemetery, Mehmetçik Memorial Statue, Museum of Dumlupınar, Atatürk’s House which located in Dumlupınar Province of Kütahya and The Ancient City of Aizonai which is located in Çavdarhisar Province of Kütahya. We entered the Museum of Dumlupınar in early morning. In the museum, group listened the tour guide when he was telling the story of 30th of August Victory on embossed map and we simultaneously translated the story to the foreigner group members. After we watched a informative illustrated short film, we moved to Atatürk’s house which is located just next to the museum and containing photos of Atatürk’s original furniture and photographs of him and his brothers in arms during the war. Then we moved to the War Cemetery of Dumlupınar and listened the guide when he told a couple of stories about the days of war. After we had a short time out, we departed to Çavdarhisar, where Aizonai Ancient city located. Our first stop was the Zeus Temple of Aizonai. Our tour guide told that the most important feature of the Temple of Zeus is, it is one of the Roman Imperial Age temples that survived to the best of our time in Anatolia. Then we visited the Stadium and Theater Complex within walking distance of the Temple, and the Aizonai Macellum, the World's First Stock Exchange. We learned interesting information about the history of the city. Our foreigner students took photos during the trip and often asked questions about the places we visited.
